You may have learned to love your maple tree like family, by watching it grow strong over the years. However, not only does the outside look strong, but the roots are strong as well and capable of doing damage when invading your sewer lines. Many homeowners find that their backed up sewer lines are a result of the root system of a large tree in their yards or front lawns.
This is a common occurrence, as the roots of a tree will look for nutrients and moisture found in a sewer line. If you suspect that roots from that maple tree have invaded your sewer lines or want to prevent this from happening in the future, the best choice is to call a professional to inspect the situation, and locate a problem or potential issue in time.
Sewer repair in New York may be costly, including damage to your sewer lines, plumbing, water heater, and drain cleaning. However, if you have large trees in your property, a call may save you tons of money in the future. Trained professionals are able to locate sewage problems and by using specialized equipment such as transmitters to locate and trace the lines.
Plastic and concrete sewer lines are more difficult to trace because they are non-conductible materials, which do not send a signal. Because of this, fiberglass reels, and video monitoring equipment may be necessary. A professional plumbing company will be skilled in doing this type of work.
Many times, when damage is already done by tree roots, it may be necessary to excavate deep to fix the problem and repair the sewer. However, there are other ways in which to fix this problem. One way is by power rodding. Power rodding is used to solve problems such as drains backing up, slow draining fixtures, and clogs in the home or sewer system. Different equipment will be used for this job, depending on the length of the cable and where the clog is located.

Pipe Bursting Technology
At Zonzini Pipeline and Sewer Services we like to explore new technologies and problem solving strategies for New York sewer repairs. Sometimes the usual repair technique won't work for your sewer problem. When pipes are in terrible condition, sometimes modern lining is not possible. If sections of pipe have collapsed or sections of pipe are missing, for example with cast iron pipe there many be a better option than lining. In these cases, pipe bursting technology may be the best alternative.
One of the advantage to pipe bursting technology is it's ability to actually replace old pipe with larger pip because the the bore diameter is slightly larger than the outside diameter of the pipe. Powerful winches and cables need to be used to make this work. The power of the winch pulls the "static" head through the existing pipeline. It may have a blade or pneumatic hammer to help it through. The hammer is needed for hard, dry, compacted soils.
New sections of pipe are welded together making a seamless HDPE pipe that prevents root intrusion, water infiltration and leakage.
As with any technology for sewer line replacement Port Chester, there are limitations. The line has to be in good enough condition for the cable to be pulled through. Pipe Bursting does not fix a sag or belly pipe replacement Brooklyn. The new pipe will only follow the path of the old pipe (so it doesn't move the location if needed). Rocks can jam the bursting head which prevents it from passing - which ultimately involved excavation - the thing that you were trying to avoid. Finally, some pipe bends may not allow the bursting head to stay in the pipe because it may exit the pipe and require excavation.
So, there are limitations to pipe bursting technology for your pipe repair or replacement. However, in the right situation, it may be the right fix for your New York sewer repair.

Sewer Video Inspection Cameras
The technology behind drain-cleaning New York equipment has come a long way in recent years. Now, front-line technicians have even greater diagnostic power when confronted with clogged or slow piping systems.
By understanding the technology advances and the wider array of inspection functions today's drain-cleaning systems offer, maintenance and engineering managers can improve department productivity and piping-system performance.
Inspection Technology
Drain-cleaning cameras New York and inspection systems offer users three important opportunities to inspect and assess the situation:
•before cleaning to determine the extent of the problem, its location, and required actions
•during cleaning to determine progress
•after cleaning to determine if the technician performed the cleaning properly and ensure the free-flowing condition of the pipeline.
Inspection cameras New York have several key components, including the cable reel, the pushrod, and the camera chip in a pickup head with a light source to illuminate the object being inspected. These components connect to the monitor by video cable or wirelessly to complete the basic package.
These components form one system technicians can move to and around the jobsite. Early-generation cameras rotated in the drain, causing the display to show the water at the bottom, side or top of the picture. Now, manufacturers have released self-leveling cameras that always show the water at the bottom in the correct orientation as it sits in the drain line.
Users can add accessories, such as DVD or CD recorders, sewer-inspection software to help capture and report data, and locator devices to help identify elusive underground pipelines.

Leak Detection Specialists
Managing and maintaining commercial or multi-unit properties is serious business. We understand the challenges of property managers and facilities engineers. Leaks can cause thousands of dollars of damage, and require skilled, professional attention.
While it is true that leaks are more common in older properties, newer properties have problems too. Poor construction, soil conditions, severe climates, and in many cases, ground movement can cause unexpected pipe damage at any time.
State-of-the-Art Equipment
With proper equipment, leaks can be found and repaired with minimal disruption to your property and tenants. Our use of high-tech and proprietary equipment ensures accuracy of locating a hidden leak.
Using laser technology we can measure even minute amounts of water loss in a pool or spa within 15 minutes. The laser sends data wirelessly to a PDA that provides graphical reports and indicates the amount of water loss.
Experience & Expertise
It is equally important the technician be highly skilled and well-trained. No equipment is able to locate leaks independent of the operator. The leak detection process takes a combination of technology, training, and experience. The technician should have certification from a comprehensive training course. By calling a professional leak detection service, building owners can ensure the integrity of their property value as well as saving thousands of dollars, if only by eliminating the restoration costs created by unskilled methods.
Whether the leak is concealed by drywall, concrete, wood, tile floor, or pool decking, the process cannot include hit-and-miss search methods. Breaking into a slab or pool deck, without positive confirmation of a leak location, is unacceptable. Don’t let anyone dismantle your property, just to search for leaks. Hire Zonzini Pipeline & Sewer Repair, the experts in leak detection without destruction.
