Sewer Clogged or Septic Tank?

If the sewage backs up in your house it can run all over the floor. It can cause a flood to spread through each room one by one. The water can get into the carpets, soak between the floor boards, and in the walls. It can cause many things to get damaged, stained, and ruined depending on what it does to it and how bad the flood is. Back ups can up through the toilets, the sinks, and the bathtubs. Everything that is in the sewer pipes could come back up into your home.

It can happen when a sewer line gets clogged somewhere or if your septic tank gets full and can not hold any more waste. But one can be worse then the other one can cost you more money to fix. This is why you have to watch out for these things because back ups can be very bad and it can do a lot of damage to your home and your property.

You also can get back ups from a tree root growing through the lines. It can block things the clear flow of the line and the water and waste material can not get by it and you will have to get a professional company to get the roots out of the line. If this happens, they will likely have to dig up the line and replace the section that had the root growing in it. If the root was from a tree or large shrub of some kind, it might have to be dug up and removed to prevent the problem from occurring again.

It may depend on how big the root is for them to have to do that. The bigger the root is the more damage it will cause and the more problems you will have with the line. Also if a root starts grow through the line you can not flush anything down the pipes because it will cause a back up. If you have trouble with a toilet stopping up and overflowing regularly, this is a sign of blockage in your pipes. Blockage can also cause bubbles to come back up through the toilet and if that happens check the line.

If you hear or see bubbling come up when your are draining something or taking a shower, turn off the water. That is like a warning sign that is telling you you have a blockage or a clog somewhere. If you have two or more bathrooms, the back up can come back up in those rooms as well. You may not even know it until water is all over the floor. You have to make sure your kids know what and what not to put down the drains, this way you will reduce the chance of blockages that can cause backups.

Septic Tank Problems

Septic tanks can sometimes give you problems like back ups and it can overflow into the yard. It can damage your yard by causing nasty water to flood it and it can contaminate the area. You have to watch what you flush down the toilet because it can cause it to back up in your house. This can cause flooding to occur which can cause water damage to your floors, walls, and other things it gets on.

It can take thousands of dollars to repair the damages that the septic tank has done and a lot of things can get ruined due to it. You have to pump them out every so many years depending on the size of the septic tank. Because they can be small or big and of it is small they have to be pump every one and half or two years. A big one may not have to be pumped out for three to four years depending on the number of toilets and people in your home. If it gets blocked, the line can plug up the whole line that gos to your house. Even if you pump it out it can still cause problems for you like backing up into your house through the toilet, tubs, and sinks.

It can take hours to get it unclogged and if pumping it through the house does not work then you have to drive a snake through it. A snake will its way through the pipes and find the clogged spot. Sometimes you have to do it a few times to get the water to go through. You may also have to consider that the line could be broken and you will have a mess on your hands. If a sewer line breaks, the professionals will have to dig up the ground to find the broken line.

If a sewer line ruptures or comes apart, they will have to dig up the whole line all the way up to your house. They may have to dig up the septic tank so they can find the problem and so they can get it fixed for you. A faulty septic tank and its lines can cause a lot of damage to your home and your yard and it is important that both of them are problem free. Faulty septic lines that are broken do not always result in sewage backing up into the home. If you find an area in your yard where the septic line runs and it smells bad as well, you could have a broken or leaking septic line in this area. Since this is a nasty situation to have in your yard, you will have to call a water damage company to fix it.

Water Jetting is Important!

Working on a water jetter is not an easy task. There are lots to consider in operating this kind of equipment. Water jetters use high pressure (HP) jet equipment to clean the surfaces of concrete, brickwork and marble, road surfaces, vehicles, walls and buildings. Water jetter is a very effective tool in cleaning and removing blockages from sewer and drainage systems. Before using this tool, be sure to take some time to clean it so that it works properly. Dust and cobweb that are found in a water jetter if it stored in storage room for a long period of time.

Clean the water jetter before using it. It is good to apply lubrication on the friction parts so that it will work properly. Checking the parts of the tool and if they are locked in to their proper places is a good procedure to avoid accident and future damage on the machine. After checking, cleaning and applying lubrication to the machine, its also advised to check the hose if there is a leak that can lead to accident. Water running in high pressure is dangerous. Make sure that the hose is properly installed on the machine in order for the water to run freely. It is better to test the machine after doing the checking and cleaning. Try to operate the machine and observe if it is working properly. After using the machine put it on a safe place that is far from dust, fire and very high temperature.

Water jetters work in all types of work place such as buildings and engineering projects as well as public and private places. Many water jetters are used for contractors that provide services to their customers like constructions and engineering industries. It ranges from small to large industries that need a great number of staff. One common about water jetter operators is that they are self-employed and work on a labor basis only. Training is provided for water jetter operators. Most workers took a short course for water jetting operation in order to be certified.

There are many types of water jetters and they are differentiated by the amount of pressure they give off. They are classified as Low Pressure, high pressure and ultra high pressure water cleaning. In a low pressure water jetter, the pressure is less than 5,000 psi. High pressure water jetters uses pressure that range to 10,000 to 25,000 psi. Ultra high pressure jetting uses pressure of more than 25, 000 psi. The purpose of each machine differs on where they suppose to use.

CCTV for Pipeline Repair

Drains and pipes of all kinds usually get clogged up eventually. They also deteriorate over time and require maintenance eventually. Any industry that waits until this happens is not staying ahead of the game, and is therefore not keeping an eye on efficient working practices. This is why regular drain and sewer camera inspection routines are not only necessary, but essential in order to maintain safe, consistent and continued operations.

Closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras are used for pipe inspection work. The technology is now so good that the pictures obtained of the inside of pipes and drains are clear enough to easily identify any damage, or even any potential future damage, in the interior part of the pipe. Any build up of debris or dirt can also clearly be seen to allow the right approach of cleaning to take place later.

Surveying pipe work in this way can save a company money by letting them have first hand knowledge of the condition of every inch of their drains and sewers. It can eliminate or at least minimise the kind of nasty surprise that usually accompanies an unexpected breakdown.

It isn't just large bore drains and sewers that pipe inspection work can be carried out on either. Mini explosion proof camera systems have been developed that can allow a remote camera to travel within a pipe of just one inch or 25 millimetres internal diameter. Pipes going all the way up to 24 inches or 600 millimetres in diameter can also be inspected using larger camera systems.

There is a limit to the length of travel that a system can cope with. This is usually around the 300 metre mark from the point of pipe entry. However, during that 300 metre run there is a lot of useful work that a pipe inspection camera system can do. And a new entry point can be established following the first run to allow very long lengths of drain and sewer pipes to be inspected.

The camera systems are not generally mindless robots. The more advanced systems can provide clear, sharp full colour pictures in very high resolution. They can also pan and tilt to give close up pictures of any particular detail, providing a full 360 degree horizontal vision capability.

Most of the modern state of the art pipe inspection camera systems are explosion proof. Gas can build up inside pipe work, and the camera system is powered by electricity. Should a spark initiate an explosion, the equipment should survive it and be able to continue to relay a valuable record of what is going on.

Drain and sewer camera inspection work has never been easier, thanks to modern technology. Now there is hardly a pipe or drain that can not be examined internally to save a company time and money from unexpected breakdowns.

Leak Detection Specialists

Managing and maintaining commercial or multi-unit properties is serious business. We understand the challenges of property managers and facilities engineers. Leaks can cause thousands of dollars of damage, and require skilled, professional attention.

While it is true that leaks are more common in older properties, newer properties have problems too. Poor construction, soil conditions, severe climates, and in many cases, ground movement can cause unexpected pipe damage at any time.

State-of-the-Art Equipment
With proper equipment, leaks can be found and repaired with minimal disruption to your property and tenants. Our use of high-tech and proprietary equipment ensures accuracy of locating a hidden leak.

Using laser technology we can measure even minute amounts of water loss in a pool or spa within 15 minutes. The laser sends data wirelessly to a PDA that provides graphical reports and indicates the amount of water loss.

Experience & Expertise
It is equally important the technician be highly skilled and well-trained. No equipment is able to locate leaks independent of the operator. The leak detection process takes a combination of technology, training, and experience. The technician should have certification from a comprehensive training course. By calling a professional leak detection service, building owners can ensure the integrity of their property value as well as saving thousands of dollars, if only by eliminating the restoration costs created by unskilled methods.

Whether the leak is concealed by drywall, concrete, wood, tile floor, or pool decking, the process cannot include hit-and-miss search methods. Breaking into a slab or pool deck, without positive confirmation of a leak location, is unacceptable. Don’t let anyone dismantle your property, just to search for leaks. Hire Zonzini Pipeline & Sewer Repair, the experts in leak detection without destruction.

Stop and repair external corrosion, dents, gouges, erosion, or other defects in piping systems with Zonzini Pipeline and Sewer composite solutions. Restore piping systems to their Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) regardless of surface irregularities (welds, dents, sleeves etc) piping configuration (tees, ells, reducers) internal or external wall loss. Complete and permanent repairs can also be made to vessels, tanks, welds, and infrastructure components such as bridge columns, pilings, and poles. Zonzini Pipeline & Sewer Repair provides our clients with a permanent repair alternative to welded sleeves, bolt on repair clamps and or pipe replacement. Zonzini allow plant owners and operators to restore corroded or eroded pipe and piping systems to original design without the expense and hassle of extended down-times.

The structural system forms a pipe around a pipe, and each successive wrap increases the pressure rating. Its bidirectional weave allows for strength in both the hoop and axial directions experiencing little or no creep properties over time, ensuring that there is no reduction in strength. Zonzini's low profile repair can be installed on tees, elbows, straight runs of pipe, confined spaces and irregular surfaces that require structural reinforcement or leak containment. The adhesive properties of the epoxy allow wrap systems to be applied to most substrates.
