Rehabilitation and Replacement of New York Municipal Sewers

Municipalities and Counties all over the nation are mapping their sewer system and making repairs and major improvement/retrofitting projects to old sewer systems. It’s remarkable to think that sewer inspections and plans reveal sewer lines and water lines that are sometimes composed of materials like brick, wooden pipes and clay. This is particularly true in older communities on the east coast like New York.

Sewer inspection Pelham or sewer inspection Westchester County is often aided by the use of special cameras. Sewer inspection cameras New Rochelle sometimes reveal sewer systems that are 100 years old or older. These specialized cameras take images of sewage systems to determine if and where leaks are taking place due to decay, settling, tree roots or other leaks.

With older sewer systems, existing plans are not always available or accurate. Municipalities are making plans to combine existing plans with indepth sewer inspections Pelham, NY or sewer video inspection Easchester County, NY to create CAD drawings and update an aging system.

As the plans are brought up to date, New York municipalities hire sewer contractors Westchester County, NY to perform sewer cleanout, sewer pipe lining 10801, and sewer installation 10804 and replacement.

As the New Yorks sewer and water contractors inspect and map pipe that was installed 40, 60 or over 100 years ago, they have an opportunity to retrofit pipe cost effectively, with minimal damage to property.
